A golden winter’s morning at Stumers Creek with this sweet little trio. The light was soft and dappled, the kind that feels like a quiet hug. We wandered along the water’s edge, toes in the sand, hearts full, as baby Millie—just 7 months old—took in the world with wide eyes and gummy smiles. These are the days that feel slow and sacred. In the company of fellow photographers, I had the chance to document this radiant family of five during a workshop session—but it was the in between moments that stole my heart. Among the gentle chaos, laughter, and soft golden light, I found pockets of stillness and connection—hands reaching, glances shared, kids caught mid-giggle. They were a dream to photograph: warm, photogenic, and beautifully themselves. Proof that even surrounded by cameras, the most meaningful images come when no one’s really trying.
